The PE cost on these int'l flights is pretty crazy. $2k on a $500 coach ticket. My original flight had no C+ options. Only Coach, PE,and Delta One. The $530 flight booked through Alitalia was $750 and the next class up from coach with them was also PE @ $2k. I thought about switching my economy fare to a K class so I could upgrade with miles but those were $1800.

Just couldn't get cozy with the idea of a middle coach seat for 18 hours so I ended up canceling in the 24 hour window and booking a $750 ticket on a non-codeshare flight then upgrading to C+ with $220 of my $300 RC travel credit. Kind of a bummer to loose my sweet cheapo fare after finding some open seats checked against Seatguru that I would have been happy compromising with - all over a software glitch - but what can you do.
