For about the sixth or seventh time (different cards), Citi's Fraud Dept called us (my wife actually) today to ask if we were really the people using the card that was issued last month. My wife tolerates my involvement in the hobby, but she doesn't like having to get on the phone. I was careful not to do anything unusual (e.g., no MS of any kind, no large purchases of any kind) simply because the card was in her name and I didn't want to trigger an alert. It didn't matter. We did about $1K of legitimate spend on a card with a $19K credit limit, the first statement closed, we paid it off in full, and a day later they want to know if we were the ones who were using the card in businesses located near our home. Card locked, website functionality limited, etc., until my wife called them. It seems like this has to be related to the mailers.
