I agree - how many regular posters on the UA forum, 200? (or less) - that just isn't an audience size to merit the resource.
But I think it is a group that is representative of United’s more frequent (and most important) customers. The issues presented and discussed by FT’s regular posters are issues that UA can read about (not that they’ll necessarily act on). The lame surveys UA sends out really don’t give UA detailed insight into what are good or bad experiences for passengers - the UA FT forum does. I’m pretty sure UA still has someone monitoring it.
That at being said - there are issues that make me wonder if there’s some sort of “no post” policy in effect at UA wrt FT. The Denver catering issue is a glaring problem that needs some sort of informational posting (and not just here). We know there’s some sort of problem with an indeterminable timeline to fix it, but I can’t imagine the number of customers who get on a plane catered at Denver and are surprised by the catering issue and get p.o.’d.
