But have never been asked to scan my US docs, I thought this must be something new for 2018 until I saw the posts back to 2015?? My problem came with getting the scan of my passport. I have an iPad & iPod, but trying to get an acceptable scan seemed almost impossible. It finally worked, but what is the secret (I taped it to my kitchen cabinet and stood there countless minutes attempting various shots, and I still don't know what actually worked. But, back to my original issue, Why are they asking for the scan? I'll still have to present it tomorrow, it's the same one I've used on my last 6 trips. What gives???
I've now scanned at least four things with the app. The 'secret' seems to be to ignore the guide-lines overlaid on the photo. It seems to catch when the document is slightly larger than the box, i.e. some of the relevant features are out of bounds, but generally my approach now is just to get close and slowly back away. It is annoying.
