That was a wonderful and quite comprehensive (and often entertaining) review, griffingrowl! Thanks!
I think you'll find that all Maldivian resorts have the wear-and-tear issues more frequently---as is often true in most marine environments. Such small islands have even more wear-and-tear as the marine environment is that much more oppressive. As much as everyone wants everything in such a luxury resort to be in tip-top shape here and in similar locates, Mother Nature always wins--and fast! The upkeep for these resorts is truly staggering. (Just another of the many reasons they are so expensive!)
I LOVE that you complained about the InfoWars channel. You da bomb. Good for you. And thank you. I do hope to hear from others that they got rid of that!
While I understand being annoyed by the $20 boat fee, an overall fee for $100 for a dive isn't too bad in such a pricey place. I assume that was for 1 tank only? That would be an excellent price for 2 tanks!
I love your descriptions of the restaurants and special dining experiences. Sounds like a true dining paradise, indeed. Very typical for St Regis to invest in that.
So glad you had such a wonderful honeymoon! Congratulations again.
