I live in an oddball aerospace-focused 'company town'. If that was the explanation given by a FA during a winter fog landing into VPS, there's probably some know-it-all three rows ahead who would go into an explanation of Cat III B limits and how the software works, and his friend at Boeing was in the team that wrote that program for the 787....
