Japan is the only country n the world where I've traveled on trains for from memory 5 hours with 3 connections to KIX and not worried in the slightest about missing my flight.
I will add Switzerland to that list but totally agree. I wouldn't do it with quite the same relaxed feeling in my hometown of London !
