Thanks to those who replied to my previous thread about flying BA vs AA from LAX-LHR.
I have booked seats with BA on the A380 in Y, and now wonder about when to reserve seats.

My flight is not until June, and I want to avoid paying for seat selection only to have the equipment change as it is occasionally prone to do.
I'll be travelling with my wife and daughter, and will want three adjoining seats.
What is the conventional wisdom on when I should reserve these without reasonable fear of equipment swap or 3 adjoining seats being unavailable?
