My wife and I bought 60k SPG points (to use as 180k Marriott points) at the end of last last 2017 when SPG had a sale for .0227 per point (Marriott .0076 per point).

I need about that many points again for a planned stay this Summer(which is a good deal at that point cost,but not at the 'normal' cost). I'm mostly an IHG guy, so I don't really have any clue as to how often SPG/Marriott put their points on sale and haven't been able to find any systematic info on their sales. Any one have any guesses as to whether I can expect to be able to buy more points before the summer?
