Probably a good idea. For the benefit on anyone who hasn't listened to BBC Radio 4, or indeed the Home Service, since 1947 (which amazingly was when this series was first broadcast) the quiz format actually belongs to Round Britain Quiz. There is a Wiki entry here:

and in brief a central answer comes from a common theme from the clues, with a support clue or two along the way. So in the first example we best work back from the answer Whales since CWL / Cardiff / BA's repair shop is in Wales, as Jordan is/was a brunette and Athens relates to grease/lubricant etc.
