i as on the BA178 yesterday (Jfk-lhr day flight), and just prior to landing we were all asked if we had bags in the hold. Apparently there is a new trial where FIRST bags will be manually retrieved and processed, and presumably ready and waiting at the carousel. As I was HBO I was unable to sample it.
