Are you seriously suggesting they would claim something else when being emailed?
Because I have got incorrect information from airline reps on Facebook and Twitter before... Most of the social media people cannot be trusted - soory to disappoint you but I can support that by serious academic research...

And as an example - LH rep told you something else than what their printed material says... Don't you find it alarming?
