I guess it's because the Embraers aren't actually operated by Lufthansa, rather Lufthansa CityLine.

Or if the BT is only allowed on A320 family, even compared with widebodies in mainline fleet, then I guess LH might have had the Airbuses certified for BT while equipping them with the WiFi entertainment and/or Flynet
