If it's an airport location that has Ultimate Choice, you should be able to just head outside and pick a car regardless of what it says. If it's a non-UC location then you should be assigned a vehicle and your name should be on the board and/or you should get a text with your space number if you're signed up for mobile Gold alerts. It's probably just showing counter because you're just completing your first rental. I wouldn't worry too much about it. If for some reason you end up being forced to visit the counter on rental #2 , they should be able to figure out why and get it sorted out for future reservations for you. I don't think it has anything to do with the flight number.
