Well I know this is probably against some of the recommendations........as I mentioned our first stop over in KUL is really only for the Sunday. We land at 20:00 hrs Saturday night after extremely long flights! We will be staying at the Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur for 3 nights on our way back through - this will allow us time to spend some sightseeing etc., in the city.
I think I am going to choose the Le Meridien Putrajaya when we land. It looks like it is just as close to the airport as anything else; very new; pool area; club lounge............and if we feel like it we can walk over to the attached mall for a little bit if we want something to do. We are just planning to veg out that day prior to flying out to Langkawi on Monday morning. I think we will be just fine here for the one day. I hope

I get staying by the airport for Sunday night, but there's no way the Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur is better than the J.W. Marriott, especially as a gold or platinum. It is 100% fully renovated as of September or October. Heck, you could do one night at the Westin (across the street from the J.W. Marriott), one night at the Ritz-Carlton (attached to the J.W. Marriott), and one night at the J.W. Marriott.
