I placed medications in their own tray as I wanted to make sure they could be inspected easily if need be. Apart from the patches they are all pills, so any rules pertaining to liquids didn't apply. It's good to know medications can go through in carry-on bags; thanks for the information.

And, I'm sorry but I know nothing regarding medication that requires refrigeration or cooling and I'm not too sure where to look for answers other than contacting the airlines you might fly with. Sorry I can't be of more help!
