For me, the King David, Jerusalem is all about the location and the spectacular views of the old city from the pool facing rooms. I agree that the service doesn't match the promise. Pool staff were especially poor followed closely by breakfast - on initial impressions. A few gentle words to management and improvements were immediately noticeable. Would I choose any other hotel for a first visit to Jerusalem? Despite the problems and the price, probably not. Remove the staff and the food and it is still a pretty special spot
