You can pay with a UK credit card on the AA site. When you click through from Powertools, choose the UK website:
Then you should be presented with the option to input a UK address:
This normally works, but sometimes there is a bit of availability/fare/currency fluctuation between ITA Matrix and the UK site availability (so just check you are happy with the price before committing)
I've just clicked through and it showed my itinerary with a 20p difference.
