Actually difference in points is just 5k, so if IC GS is MUCH nicer, it will be a better value. I don't like TST area however, and harbor views are, according to reports, a) very narrow there and b) unlikely to be given even to Ambassadors on points bookings.

I have been platinum for a few years and book the corner rooms at the Indigo. The only upgrade is a suite, and I only got it once. I don't think there is any sort of Club Floor at the Indigo, so if you're looking for that then IC is the much better choice.
I just expect to get a room upgrade and a pleasing view from the window. I won't get complimentary Club access – it's not a benefit of Amb status, forget Gold. And HK is a place with typically average to crappy service, so I don't expect any hotel to go beyond of what they have to.

Basically, I just think to make some decent use of 60–70k IHG points. Since most of my stays will be with SPG & Marriott, I'd rather use IHG points on something aspirational, rather than few nights at HIE in a middle of nowhere.
