I don't think that's correct. BA specifically states here

Premium security

Premium security is available daily 5.30am until 2pm and 4.30pm until 9.30pm. It is open to customers travelling in First, Club World and Club Europe or holders of Gold, Silver executive club cards, plus a guest.

British Airways - GATWICK

CWS has also stated this as well.

Premium Gatwick is just LGW's name for fast track security. The blue board there indicates eligibility, which is the usual one, namely for Club Europe, Club World, First, Business UK and those with Silver/Sapphire status and above. These status passengers are also allowed one guest.
