Rebooking to JFK, onward flights on the same ticket, meals, baggage forwarding, whatever - it's all on the operating carrier. On day of departure it wouldn't even matter if the OP were traveling on DL ticket stock. Yes, DL probably has more resources at ORD to get the OP (close) to where he wants to go. One should remember that when choosing carriers.
riiiiiiiight ... so you believe we should all think about possible IROPS chaos and recovery options every time we book a ticket? six days out I can understand, but six months or even six weeks ahead?
