My partner and I are both 75K for the first time. I was Gold last year and he was MVP. When we reached MVPG last May we both received 4 GGU's. When we reached 75K (90K w/partners) in October we each received 4 more GGU's. Two days after everything had posted we each received an additional 4 GGU's for a total of 12 each in 2017; all dated 2018. We will definitely put them to good use. I typically use them with a companion certificate to maximize value. Multiple segments (<4 hour connection) with a single GGU each is a futher bonus. I have successfully upgraded 3 segments once on a companion certificate, SJO-LAX-SEA-PVR and many 2 segment such as BOS-SEA-PHX & ANC-LAX-SJO.
