I have no connection to Monarch and I never even flew with them but reading this thread, I feel like I'm dancing on someone's grave.
I guess BA wanted Monarch's space at LGW and took it using competition etc. That's how the world works.The last few years has seen the number of U.K. competitors decrease a lot for BA (IAG).
