It's so frustrating getting downgraded. That's an entire YEAR dedicated to staying at ICs and IHG hotels, going out my way to book these hotels even if they're not close to where I need to be. An entire year of this! Over 200 nights and $40,000 spend with IHG. I did not stay once at another hotel chain; complete brand loyalty. What else does IHG want from me? If my efforts this year truly don't cut it, I will absolutely be switching hotel chains and IHG will lose ALL of my business.

With that said, can someone recommend a comparable program with a unique top-tier status that provides nice benefits (i.e. suite upgrades, lounge access, etc.)? I'm already Hilton Diamond through a status match and I'm not impressed. And Marriott Platinum also seems boring. Maybe SPG or Hyatt?
