The ESA thing aside, paying $95 for the privilege of losing your legroom is a joke. My wife and I have a companion pass, and there have been multiple flights that cost us less *combined* to fly than it did to pay the pet fee. We would happily have paid for a 3rd seat in that situation, which of course SW disallows.
WN has one of the lowest pet fees among US carriers. These complaints about cost are astounding.
Don't travel with your animals next time if the cost is too much. Or use another bargain basement carrier like Frontier which charges even less ($75).
