When flying BE, you can select any available non-preferred seat 24 hours prior to each flight - there may well be pairs of seats toward the back of the plane available, but you can't count on it (if no 'regular' seats are available, you go on the standby list for seat assignments). If better seats open up closer to departure, you could always switch.
