For non-precheck people, this looks much worse. Before you had the fallback plan of the 2nd (much less busy) checkpoint.
Looking forward to the new terminal - if they keep the total cumulative TSA staffing level the same and can screen all passengers (Pre and non-pre) effectively into a single terminal with no or minimal queueing.
Have been thru there at noonish and evening and as you note, effectively zero wait time even if there are a few folks in front of you. I've been afraid to go take a look at the mob scene that must certainly exist at the "other" checkpoint. FWIW, one of the Clerks staffing the new PRE-only checkpoint recognized me and commented "how much better this is" as "people down here know what to do". So there's that
