I booked an award flight through United to FLR this July. Two of the three legs of the flight there are on Swiss Air, connecting in ZRH. I called Swiss and got the confirmation number for my flight with them so I could pull up the booking on their site. United lets me pick seats for their flights without charge, but Swiss is wanting $29/seat for the ORD-ZRH leg and $11/seat for the ZRH-FLR leg. Is there a way to get them to let you pick seats without paying the seat selection fee since it's an award flight through United?
