I've done many TATL in Delta, KLM, Air France, and SAS (OK, not necessarily many with each of them, but certainly many in total), and I'm always happy when I have Delta for the eastbound portion. The European airlines are definitely much slower in dinner service. There's a whole thread on the SAS forum joking about it, in fact. The ~7 hours from Newark to Stockholm usually leaves about 2.5 hours for sleeping. Of course, I just put in good earplugs and slap on the eye mask if I really want to sleep, but I still like the Delta reasonably efficient dinner service. Enjoy a meal and movie, sleep for a few hours, and get ready to start the day.
