My question is, can I call AA and have them merge these two itineraries so that I am protected in case there are some sort of delays on the AM the trip kicks off or on the DFW-YYZ leg? I'm not certain, but I think US carriers can't sell a ticket between two U.S. cities that go via Canada, would my DFW-YYZ ending to ticket #1 before the YYZ-NYC portion of ticket #2 run afoul of this and prevent them from merging the PNRs? Thanks!
It's not possible to merge PNR's. But AA will still protect you should there be a delay.
