I stayed at the Le Meridien with a view of the Giza pyramids a couple years. It was pretty tired.

My friend stayed at a Marriott resort on the Red Sea a couple months ago. It was also very tired. She said the staff were great, though.

Egypt has had such a rough time the last few years tourism-wise that I doubt few hotels have been renovated.
