The Air Carrier Access Act doesn't care about your fare class. Identify yourself to the gate agent with a qualifying condition and board early.
Certainly I would think that AA could still enforce the carry-on rules of BE fares even if you're preboarding. It's definitely easier to do at that point than with general boarding, hence the Group 9 priority.
