Yes, I discovered that Android Pay didn't work at WM when I tried to buy some gift cards at Walmart using it when AMEX had a promo last year and my phone didn't work. I just did a search and it's pretty clear that it hasn't changed. I plan to use my Freedom card with Samsung Pay for as much stuff as possible these next 3 months. Fortunately, I have 3 Freedom cards. I'll probably buy some Costco gift cards towards the end of the quarter to extend the benefit.
