How much do most folks go over the minimum?
Anytime there is a dollar target (including “spend $10k, get a free night, “spend $40k and get Diamond,” etc.) I always go over. Usually by $100-200, sometimes more. You never know when there will appear some loophole, error, misinterpretation, or mistake.
Generally wife and I do not make each other AUs on cards so as to keep our 5/24 down. But if we do, she does not get to touch the card until I have figured out the plan for minimum spend and it has been executed. Too many horror stories out there like “My husband went out today and spent without asking me.”
