You get 5K for your account, and 5K for each referral. Each person who you refer also gets the 5K if they follow the directions in the referral email to the T Then you must hound E*Trade weekly for a few months, and then, if the sun and moon are in proper phase, youy miles will post ! I did manage to get 40K for the family this way. As luck would have it, the tech mutual I invested in went up 100% since I opened my E*Trade account. A nice little bonus in the pursuit of miles !
