Well, for once they might not know him at all by his name and he was only recognized by someone at check-in. So they might actually only know who they are dealing with after recognizing him at check-in and research.
Or he posted/published something after check-in, that made hotel management nervous, e.g. his twitter post on Dec 30th: "New year plans make more gainz and do the biggest stunt ever done."
It is very debatable if that alone e.g. should be cause for an eviction (imo it def. doesn't warrant an eviction because it is extremely vague and not at all indicates that he was going to do anything at the property), but at the same time I kind of get it why hotel management wants to avoid any incident that might inconvenience other guests, especially at NYE when they probably had some major event going at the hotel.
