The resort is about 5km outside the hustle and bustle of Patong but there are always taxis waiting just outside the gates. There is a flat fee listed for all journeys and to Patong itself is 300 baht. Nick
We stayed here a few nights before Christmas.
I have to agree about the friendliness of the staff.
We went to a similarly priced property after. Quite a disappointment after staying at Marriott Merlin Beach.
300THB for a taxi is a rip off to go to Patong considering a taxi to the airport can be had for 1000THB.
However that's the price and negotiating is almost futile. 200THB could be easily achieved.
We negotiated 150THB on the return. Otherwise we just walked into Patong.
There are three restaurants past the hotel and a fourth is being built. About a 1/2 mile away.
We ate at the one furthest from the hotel.
A convenience store is next door to the hotel. As well as several restaurants on the road into Patong.
The hotel breakfast buffet is one of the best I've been to.
Overall a good property with great staff.
