Hard product seat comparison is valid whether it’s a day or night flight, and in my opinion, as a tall well built guy, I prefer Virgin’s seat which can flip into a bed.
Not all passengers will have ate. Would you prefer them to go hungry? At least you can put in some ear plugs and eye shades.
Comparing the seats on a day flight to a night flight is still not a balanced comparison. It’s unlikely that on a day flight a passenger will do anything more than have a light snooze, whereas they are more likely to want to sleep on the night flight. Facing into the cabin your feet can easily hang over the edges making the seat appear roomier. They can be prone more to being knocked by others passengers walking past. Not likely to see them as easier in the night.
As always with these comparisons it is often just an excuse to have a dig rather than a meaningful comparison of all the pros and cons of both. The seat is only one part of the whole thing. Been done a thousand times already.
