After reading all the nice upgrades I am a bit disappointed with mine (first stay as platinum ).
I have booked 5*1 consecutive nights for our anniversary (mix of free night certificates and cash + points) and received only an upgrade to Deluxe Opera view room (despite available junior suites to book and despite telling that I am ok to move rooms in between the stay to have a “nicer” room for our anniversary). Also no gift / bottle of drink / cake ... unlike others here . Only a tea but no kettle in the room.
But the room was quite nice with lots of space. It didn’t look worn down and the view was amazing .
We checked out after three nights to book finally at the Imperial hotel where we got a junior suite which to my mind was not really better then the room in the Bristol (and no welcome gift as well).
