Your first paragraph makes no sense in English. Perhaps it is not your first language but regardless, I cannot understand what you are trying to communicate in it.
Your second paragraph is an interesting way to twist around the question of which rooms are offered to the consumer. I wrote that the only difference was the size of room. You write about no window or air conditioner as if that somehow is relevant. It is the OTA that cannot offer an 'apples to apples' comparison of the rooms I have booked. I gave an 'apples to apples' comparison of the hotel's price for the same room as the OTAs offered.
It is not a case of the OTA 'will not even touch' the rooms I booked, it is a case of the hotel does not give them access to those rooms at that time of year. The OTAs do in fact offer those rooms in the low seasons, which is the only time the hotel gives them access to them.
Your response has nothing to do with the point I was making about different rooms. That point is that the consumer looking at the OTAs is given no indication that in fact, there are other rooms available at other prices which may meet their needs. Only the hotel can tell you about all that is available. The OTA shows you only what they have access to. The funny thing to me is that you try to suggest the OTAs won't offer a 'lesser' room, when in fact, booking direct is far more likely to get the consumer more amenities, more likelihood of an upgrade etc. for doing so than booking through an OTA.
I don't know what kind of independent hotels you have worked in or where, or in what capacities, perhaps you would like to expand on that. How hotels are responding to OTAs these days does vary by country with some more proactive than others of course. If you do some looking at hotels own websites online and from around the world, you will see that more and more of them are adding a line to their site that says something specifically like, 'book direct with us for the best prices'. They aren't matching OTA rates, they are bettering them tatterdema.
