They said it was a "curling iron" or other such iron thing and had a picture of it. We said we were shocked and could not believe this. Stayed at this place over 2 dozen times. Asked them to remove the charge and they said no dice. We are middle aged, quiet people and not rowdies at all. Need advice on how to proceed. Never had this in over 60+ yrs of exensive travel.
I had a smoking charge once assessed after the fact at a Hampton Inn in Delray Beach. I don't smoke. The manager was insistent. So I called the Diamond line (I was a HH Diamond member at the time). The Diamond line took care of it. The manager remained insistent but agreed to remove the charges. His emails were actually pretty insulting and he was mad that he couldn't charge me, but the Diamond Customer Service forced him to. They still might have this power. Call them.
