Agree with this. I've stayed at this property at least six times, but always in the late spring or dead of summer. This property can be very enjoyable when it has low occupancy, because you are guaranteed a quiet time and the resort can be generous with upgrades to the top floor penthouse suites. The heat of the summer can be pleasant in a sauna kind of way. However, I visited in December this year and it was a different story. No Globalist upgrade (which to be fair I understand given that it is high season, though better suites were showing online), and I was woken up continuously throughout the night by children running in the hallways and banging on doors. I could even hear the neighbor snoring through the walls on one side and neighbors talking on the other (I would never have known this during low occupancy since I was always in a Penthouse Suite and there were few other guests).

The Regency Club changed their furniture to low padded benches, with only a few low tables, so you can't sit at a proper table for breakfast unless you go out to the balcony. Kind of strange. The view of the mountains from the balcony at the Regency Club is the highlight. The breakfast food is Sheraton lounge level: powdered eggs, no meats, oatmeal, bread and jam and cream cheese, a little fruit. I miss the days when you could get breakfast on the restaurant patio with Diamond status.

At any rate, the moral of the story is to visit HR Indian Wells in the off season if you want to relax, and don't expect much from their lounge. The restaurant/bar has quite decent food, but it is pricey.
