This is just wrong, there is no reason to schedule a time of 3 hours for a connection when the MCT is often less than 1 hour, and your actual time gate to gate might be 15 minutes...
A passenger usually expects that if an airline sells them a ticket with a "short" connection time, it will be possible for them to catch their flight, why would they then choose to take a longer connection unless they have done extensive research into the process and queue length at their connecting airport?
It is arguably not the airlines fault, but it is for sure not the fault of the PAX either.
why will anyone choose a tight connection is beyond imagination. it is the passenger responsibility to foreseen any possible delay so why the airline or the passport control should be responsible for the passenger poor choices?
