Is this connection doable? It seems awfully tight to me. A rep on the phone also stated that there would be no passport control/security required in Madrid — we would just hop over to the other terminal. Is this correct?
Have not been through MAD recently so can't comment on whether an hour connection is doable - sounds tight. In terms of passport control/security - pretty sure this is not correct: you will go through passport control (entering the Schengen zone) and security. There will be no passport control in Venice.
