I highly doubt pax exiting an a/c and calmly walking away from the airport would be considered "mutiny." Furthermore, ATL clearly would not have been able to pull it together to get "security forces" (whatever that means) to the tarmac if they hardly had the ability to evacuate the terminal.
We would never know but with security being on people lips almost constantly these days, you wouldn't have to pull many security personnel for them to make a compelling case using tools at their disposal that folks should get back onto that plane or stay right there and suffer the weather.
