Yeah opening up the emergency slide would just land you in jail, but you would be well within your right (and I would personally do this) to call 911 and report being held against my will. Maybe it'll get people off faster, maybe not but at least someone out there will know you're not happy.
Jail has 8th Amendment protections that do not apply to being trapped on a plane. You get water, food, toilets, and plenty more space than a coach seat. Besides, I've never been down an aircraft slide. It sounds like fun. The cost of reinstalling the slide is not my concern.
