The extension cord I use is a normal two prong, maybe a three prong version or adaptor would help? Any other tricks to trying to get the outlets to work?
Up until recently I always had my devices charged, but an older MacBook Pro and handheld devices that are getting older batteries are forcing me to try to use the inseat power.
On my last 4 flights, F on a 738, Y on a 739 / 753 / 738, none worked for my Android tablet, which draws all of 0.35A @ 110V. One didn't work at all, one was on when not plugged in/off when plug inserted, one was green until I plugged it in for the first time then dark for the rest of the flight, and the fourth I don't remember. On three of the flights Mrs. Garkster was sitting across the aisle so I handed her the device and asked her to plug it it -- all 3x it worked no problem.
One of the 738s had the older seats, the other had the newer ones.
