A lot of people mention higher wattage chargers, but i've noticed no issues with the 87W charger USB Type C. KEep in mind the MacBook Pro doesn't actually pull the full 87W the minute you plug it in. Otherwise it'd charge 0-100% in less than an hour. I'm not sure how accurate software readers are but it typically pulls around 20-30W in my observations. It will pull more as your system uses more, so really you need to think about what your'e doing. If all you're doing is web and surfing it should be fine, but occasionally I've seen bugs propel your system fans to ramp up like crazy as somehow CPU use is pegged at 100%. So that's when you run into trouble.
Also as others said, 3 pin adapters work a lot better. I have a 4 port Anker charger (2 pin) but that brick always falls out. I ended up regularly plugging in my laptop, and then charging my phone and iPad off of my laptop.
