Not a bad place to spend Sylwester, Łódź, with plenty of decent bars in ul. Piotrkowska (unless you opted for one of the Polsat's outdoor events ). That said, the last time I visited LCJ was when Centralwings was still operating, it feels like ages ago (SkyEurope was still in business at the time, but I think they didn't operate out of LCJ).
