I have noticed that there are two curtains on European flights:
1.) between economy and business class
2.) within economy class

I have been assigned a seat several times in front of the second curtain in economy class. The passengers receive a better snack compared to the other economy passengers. What are the criteria for being seated in the "upgraded" economy section? I can only think of my KL Platinum status. I didn't know about the service difference and therefore I didn't ask to be seated there. There were still a lot of seats empty behind this curtain and also in the the "upgraded" economy section. The seats seam to be the same within the economy class.
